Anxiety, OCD, Depression & Grief
LIFE feels heavy RIGHT NOW.
You’re burned out and drained.
Maybe you’re carrying more than your sensitive heart can hold.
And it’s starting to catch up with you. Your thoughts won’t slow down. Your body is tense or shut down, and no matter how hard you try, you can’t fully relax.
You keep pushing through, telling yourself you should be able to handle this. But something inside you knows you’re at a tipping point. You’re ready for something different—you don’t want to navigate this alone anymore.
The stress is spilling into the places that matter most:
Exhaustion and low motivation follow you into work, home or school—not because you don’t care, but because you’re running on empty.
Anxiety shows up before social plans, work meetings, or moments where you feel seen—leaving you worried you’ll mess up or fall apart.
Your body carries the tension: tight shoulders, a knotted stomach, a buzzing nervous system that never fully settles.
You’re more irritable or withdrawn in your relationships, snapping or shutting down even though that’s not who you want to be.
Past experiences, losses, or unresolved grief resurface when you least expect, pulling you into waves of sadness, fear, or overwhelm.
You’ve tried talking it through, reading the books, or pushing yourself to cope—but insight alone hasn’t brought the relief you need.
If this resonates, you’re not broken or weak. Your system is overwhelmed, and it’s asking for a different kind of support.
This is where deeper healing begins.
Hi, I’m rebecca.
I’ve always been curious about what helps people heal, grow, and reconnect.
I do my best work with women, young adults, and parents who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or anxious. I help them find steadiness again—when life feels heavy or their sensitive nervous system has been stretched beyond its limits.
My work is trauma-informed and considers the whole of you, supporting both mind and body so healing isn’t just something you understand, but something you feel. Together, we move gently and intentionally toward the root of what’s keeping you stuck, rather than only managing symptoms on the surface.
Feeling safe, understood, and supported is essential for real change. Creating that kind of space is central to my work, and it’s often where relief begins.
Pick your path forward
I specialize in helping women and young adults get unstuck and find relief through deeper, nervous-system–informed work. The challenges I treat often overlap—and therapy can help address what’s underneath them.
-
Anxiety can can make life feel chaotic and scary and burnout can cause a sense of overwhelm. While depression can make life feel empty and hopeless. Together, we’ll explore how your mood impacts you, where the challenges may be coming from, and work toward healing you at the root cause. It is possible to feel calmer, more self-assured and in control.
-
Grief, loss and life transitions can feel like the ground has been ripped out from beneath you. You may be feeling disconnected and like you’ve lost direction in your life—this is all normal. You can learn how to hold your grief and your memories side by side with your healing.
-
OCD can feel exhausting and confusing, especially when your mind latches onto a doubt and won’t let go. You may spend hours reviewing, checking, or trying to find certainty—only to feel pulled back in again. Together, we’ll gently untangle the cycle that keeps you stuck so you can reclaim your time, your relationships, and your sense of steadiness. It is possible to live with more clarity, flexibility, and trust in yourself again.
I Help With:
-
Brainspotting is a powerful mind-body therapy that helps you process and heal from anxiety, depression, and cope with grief and loss. Because it works beyond talk therapy and engages deeper, unconscious parts of the brain, it often leads to meaningful breakthroughs, even when you may not fully understand why things are shifting.
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy helps your brain process difficult experiences that may feel 'stuck.’ EMDR helps your brain re-file those memories so they are no longer overwhelming, allowing normal healing to resume.
The EMDR I practice is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS is a modality that helps to bring all the parts of you into harmony.
-
My approach to OCD treatment is grounded in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) and guided by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I-CBT is a structured, skills-based method that helps you understand how obsessive doubt takes hold—and how to respond differently. ACT supports this by building mental flexibility, self-acceptance, and the ability to make choices aligned with your values.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) may be incorporated using thoughtful, gentle exposures tailored to your goals.
Therapies Offered:
Want flexible therapy options that fit your life?
you’re in the right place.
Making time for yourself isn’t easy—especially when you’re already overwhelmed. I offer therapy formats designed to create space for real healing.
-
Ongoing in-person and online therapy across CT, offered weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in 45- or 75-minute sessions. Virtual sessions make it easy to prioritize your healing when you want convenient therapy or can’t make it into the office—meeting from a space that feels familiar and safe, while still engaging in meaningful, depth-oriented work.
Extended 75-minute sessions create space to slow down, go deeper, and stay with what’s unfolding—without feeling cut off just as something important surfaces. Together, we move at a pace that supports your nervous system and your life.
-
Adjunct therapy is a short-term, focused option for those who are already working with another therapist or treatment provider and want to incorporate a specialized modality into their care. It offers depth and specialization without replacing the supportive therapeutic relationship you already have in place.
This format is ideal for targeted trauma processing, structured OCD treatment, or focused nervous-system work within a clearly defined timeframe. You may be seeking Brainspotting or EMDR to process a specific experience or move through something that feels stuck. Or you may want evidence-based OCD treatment, such as a 3–4 month course of Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT).
Adjunct work ultimately allows us to focus on a defined goal while you continue ongoing therapy with a provider you trust.
-
You don’t just want a bandaid, you want the wound to fully heal. Therapy Intensives offer focused, short-term therapy designed to create meaningful movement and relief in a condensed timeframe.
Offered in-person or online, Intensives include 3-hour sessions over 1-3 days and incorporate a customized treatment workbook to support integration before, during and after the Intensive sessions. This format allows us to move beyond surface-level coping and toward the root of what’s keeping you stuck—especially when weekly therapy isn’t creating the momentum you’re looking for.
-
Walk & Talk Therapy offers the opportunity to step outside the office setting into gentle movement in nature. Walk & Talk Therapy can be used as your primary therapy format or incorporated occasionally alongside traditional sessions.
Sessions take place outdoors in Southington and Plantsville, CT along the Linear Trail (“Rails to Trails”). The combination of therapy with mindful walking supports both emotional processing and nervous system regulation.
For many clients, moving side by side feels more natural than sitting face-to-face. The rhythm of walking can help thoughts flow more freely, reduce stress, and create space for deeper reflection. Movement also aligns beautifully with other mind–body approaches I use in my work.
